A HARBOUR HOLIDAY
Seventeen 8th graders at Springman Middle School in Glenview spent two days sorting and wrapping gifts for girls at The Harbour.
The girls were so grateful - and so are we! Thank you Springman Middle School!

THE HARBOUR BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S “GREEN THE SAFE HARBOUR HOUSE” DAY
In preparation for November’s National Runaway Prevention Month, The Board of Directors recently hosted an event with our clients and staff to raise awareness and celebrate our agency’s role help prevent this epidemic among America’s youth.
Board Members and Harbour Staff spent an afternoon discussing current issues with our youth while doing a fall cleanup and planting flowers to help beautify our shelter.

"MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY"
The Harbour was invited to the 9th Annual "Make a Difference Day" hosted by The Volunteer Center. Their mission is to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve by promoting volunteerism and by engaging people in meaningful volunteer service.
Together with 19 other non-profits we collected donated items for our STEPS and TLP clients from generous families in Northshore townships.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who put together this wonderful event.

(Volunteers work together to accept donations from community members and distribute them to non-profit organizations including The Harbour. Far right, Office Manager Molly Jacobsen and Intake Coordinator Cara Bouslog happily accept an entire truckful of donations for our young girls entering into our Independant Living Program.)
